How to use the "Encounter With" field in notes

In order for clinicians to better understand how and when to use each of the 3 choices in the "Encounter With" field, the field has now been revised to add precise definitions for each choice.

Please note - the system has a 50 character limit for this field, so we had to write extremely concisely. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Here are the definitions now listed in the notes for each choice:

(Key: Ind = Individual. Ct = Client. Coll = Collateral. Sess = Session. Min = Minutes. Ct>30 min = client was in session for greater than, or equal to, 30 minutes)

Code IND: Ind Only OR Ct >30 min + Coll < 30 min.

Code FWOC: Coll 30-50 min OR Coll > 50 min + Ct < majority

Code FC: Coll > 50 min AND Ct also in for majority of sess.

Here is another way to understand this text in more words (too many words to be included in the note):

Code IND:

Definitions: (1) Individual Only. (2) Client at least 30 minutes, collateral less than 30 minutes. Total duration less than 50 minutes.

Code FWOC:

Definitions: (1) Collateral in session between 30-50 minutes (client may or may not be in the session as well). (2) Collateral in session at least 50 minutes, BUT client NOT in the room for the majority of the session time (or not in the session at all).

Code FC:

Definition: Collateral in session at least 50 minutes, AND client also in the session for the majority of the session time.
