VPN Errors
First, VPN probably won't work if you are on the clinic's Wifi (it may, depending on which network you are connected to - speak to IT if you need that for some reason). Assuming you are in a non-clinic location:
If you receive the VPN errors "could not access the remote computer" or "connection was terminated before xyz" or "L2TP connection attempt failed" something similar, that means that the settings on your internet router are too strict and not allowing VPN connections.
You will need to login to your router and under the "Firewall" section, switch the settings from "Maximum" security to the "Regular" or "Typical" security settings.
For the tech savvy: To do that, you or a savvy family member should Google your router model and follow instructions. Your router's login information will usually be listed on the side of your router.
For the non-tech savvy: Alternatively, you can call your Internet Service Provider and ask them to do it for you.
Here's an example of what the security settings on your router page may look like
